Google alert is a tool that will monitor web content and notify about the new content pop out the user who created the alert with keywords. 

I have created a few alerts with some keywords which are related to my blog niche. I am getting daily alerts in my mail-box for the new content updates across the web for the given keywords.

If someone talking about the same keywords in any blog discussion forums in the world, I will come to know in a day.

2. Give a keyword or topic
Whenever google crawler crawls the new content contains this word, google delivers the results to your mail-id. 

3. Select the alert interval (How often)
The alters deliver at the interval. Intervals are as-it-happen, daily, weekly.

4. Source
category of the source of the content. 

5. Language
Website or blog language from where the keywords are indexed.

6. Region
Watching the keywords from a particular country region.

7. How many
Select what result will be delivered, the best result only, or all the results.

8. Mail-id
Results delivered at the mail-id.
